This year has been a massively productive year for Mortal Prophets, seeing the release of an album and 3 EPs within the first half of the year. If you haven’t been keeping up, ever since the last record we covered, “Brian Eno In Heaven“, there has been another EP title “Meine Liebe“, and now there is a new single out from a whole new upcoming album! “New Breed” is, as always, a piece that is full of sonic intrigue, captivating listeners who are looking for unique sonic experiences. However, as compared with the last record we’ve heard from Mortal Prophets, it has a more head nodding beat and somewhat indie feel, something to vibe to in the summer!
Included with the music, Mortal Prophets has released an interesting and engaging music video to enjoy on Youtube, link here. The video captures the spirit of the music, keeping your eyes and ears engaged with a combination of intricate visuals, footage from the desert, and even a UFO landing! The new album will be titled “Confessions of a Sword Swallower” and is set to release this fall. If this single is any sign of what’s to come, there is much to anticipate. With a high energy evocative beat, an ear pleasing unique soundscape, and catchy vocals, this is definitely a record you won’t want to miss!
John Beckmann of Mortal Prophets shares that beyond the expansive output of music already out this year from Mortal Prophets, he is working on several more EP’s and full albums. “It’s been a fruitful time right now, so I’m just running as fast as I can”, he exclaims.
